Sivas is a small beautiful village in the southern Crete, surrounded by mountains. The village is 60 km from Heraklion and Nikos Kazantzakis airport, 7 km from Matala village known for its famous beach and impressive caves on the rocks. At a short distance is Kommos beach (with its archeological site), the seaside village Kalamaki and Agiofarango, a breathtaking and easy to cross gorge, which ends up in a beautiful beach. 5 km far is located the Minoan Palace of Phaistos, one of the most important findings of which is the Phaistos disk.
